In 2013, the NCIE and Telstra hosted a national summit to spark discussion about what Indigenous digital excellence means.

Following the IDEA Summit, IDX has held workshops for Indigenous young people and entrepreneurs on coding, robotics and starting up a digital enterprise.

The next step in the journey is to talk to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, aroudn the country, about how they are practising digital excellence everyday and how they would like to engage with the digital economy.

Following the consultations from 27-29 April 2016, NCIE & Telstra will host a national summit of Indigenous and non-Indigenous leaders to identify the priorities for the IDX strategy.
